Hi friends,
IIFA was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting and hanging out with my industry friends after long. We showcased the first look of my upcoming film with director Mani Shankar ‘Knockout’ there as well. I’m thrilled with the way its looking and hope you guys enjoy it too. Also thanks for all the mails on the look for Once Upon a Time. It is a period film and a lot of effort has gone into ensuring its authenticity and giving the glam feel the character needs.
Speaking of looks, I loved the clothes Manav Gangwani designed for me for the various events at IIFA. I was also quite shocked at the media reports that suggested I have has cosmetic surgery done to enhance my chest! It is honestly very disconcerting to read these reports. Even though I understand that such speculation is allowed by the law for public figures, I honestly wish it was not! Because people who read something in print are inclined to believe it, no matter how far from the truth it is. And though these reports would have you believe that I have had surgeries everywhere, let me tell you, (because I did promise to clarify rumours here on my site) that I have not had any cosmetic surgery done on any part of my body! I read once somewhere that I had a facelift also! Why anyone would believe that someone in their twenties needed a facelift is beyond me…
During the shoot of Tanu weds Manu, I put on a lot of weight because we were shooting at Lucknow and Punjab and our cuisine mainly comprised delisious and very rich North Indian food, which, honestly, I love. Also because of a freak accident on the sets, I had hurt my foot and was off my regular routine of yoga and gym for over two months…so naturally I’ve put on weight.
People have reacted differently, most saying the weight looks good, but I believe hollow cheeks suit me more on screen, so I guess I will lose this soon, and maybe that will put the rumours to rest..
Until then, thank you so much for your emails of sweet support. Your words of love and encouragement give me the strength to go on and not get deterred along the way.

Kangna, I think that you’re wonderful in every which way from looks to acting skills and I feel that it’s ridiculous that actors and actresses of our time are being questioned in means of plastic surgery and other incredulous rumors. You don’t deserve this and it must be hard to go through this questioning. I know many people think that celebrities live glamorous lives and I’m sure that’s true to some extent but that doesn’t mean you guys don’t have problems. The media is mainly responsible for these mishaps and I feel that you should not have to go through this. I mean plastic surgery just crosses the line and may I say that cosmetic surgery is disgusting and girls everywhere are ruining their lives because of it. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and surgery just isn’t the solution to someone’s problems. I know you’re too smart to do something like that because you left home at a very young age and have been independent for a while so you know how the world is out there. Anyway, even though I’m 14, I’m super proud you and your work and I know rumors will always spread but it depends on you as to how you handle them. Its soo true, that people blindly believe in whatever is published in the print media. 99.9% of the reports are purely baseless and false; but the damage is however already done! I was also thinking, that since you showed your disgust about such ‘false reports’ ; why don’t you think of taking LEGAL ACTION against certain publications which have been in the past and are currently regularly publishing ridiculous reports about you, which in reality are soo not true. Such reports not only tarnish the image, but also reduce the fan base. You can take out some time from your busy schedule and send them a LEGAL NOTICE, to which they will be forced to reply with evidences and stuff, within 15 days. In this way, publications, will think twice when and if they plan to publish reports about you.
