Happy 2010 all!!!!
Kaise hain aap? When the clock strikes twelve on December 31st, people all over the world cheer and wish each other a very Happy New Year. For some, this day is no different from any other. For others, it symbolizes a whole new beginning, while taking stock of the year that passed.
Stepping into 2010, I’m doing a little bit of that myself!
Films:
With filming for so many projects on at present, I am most of all looking forward to all my releases next year — from Kites, No Problem, Tanu Weds Manu, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and Knockout. Each film is unique and I’m excited by the stories, the looks and the characters I essay. Thank you for your sweet support during Fashion and Raaz - The Mystery Continues. I hope you enjoy these films as much.
Fitness:
I’ve had a regular yoga practice for four years now, and it’s been the cornerstone of my fitness programmes. I plan to continue this, and also get more regular with my dance classes. In keeping with this, I also want to focus on eating healthier and avoiding junk food. This can be hard sometimes, because I’m a real foodie!
Fun:
While outdoor shoots take you to different countries, there’s a completely different quality about a full fledged holiday, with no responsibilities whatsoever. I had a lovely time in Italy this year and with family in Manali. I hope I get to travel and explore lots more this year.
Future:
And last of all, I want to buy my dream home in Manali. I love the mountains, the simplicity and purity of life. Having a home in Manali has been something I’ve wanted all along, and it’s sweet to know that this might happen in this coming year.
Whatever your resolutions for the year or perhaps you have decided to make none…I wish that this journey around the Sun be one that is filled with happiness for you. Dream! Discover!! Explore!!! Happy 2010!

I am not really a fan of your’s as I haven’t watched a whole lot of your movies but still thought of writing to you as a individual. Honestly the town I presently live in( Bloomington, Indiana) doesn’t screen any Indian movies so the only movie I saw related to your work was Gangster and your acting was fine.
This message is not much about your movies or your external beauty. I was sitting 10 days back and writing a research article and I decided to take a break and as usual opened timesofindia website to read some news. I don’t go to any interview section of any stars as I find it quite fake but for some reason I started reading your interview. For 2 minutes I found it hard to believe that someone could be so honest in a interview. Your mention about how you used to suck your thumb was interesting as even now as a 23 year old boy I remember the pleasure of having my thumb in my mouth. I dont know what was so special about that moment but maybe I loved that moment as I felt sort of secured. It was like the whole world was in that thumb. My family used to beat me a lot for that thumb-sucking and sometimes they used to add red-chilli to my thumb while I was sleeping so that If by mistake I get my thumb to my mouth I will start crying in night. I remember those nights when I used to cry and no one came to me. My folks felt that I was learning my lesson and that I will up this so called ‘childish bad habit’. I did certainly loose the habit but sometimes when I look upon those days if someone could have made a attempt to understand me rather than treating me like this I would have felt good about those parts of my childhood. Although I don’t hate my folks but still there is a part of me which feels bad. Another part of the interview which I could relate to my life was the fact how you fought fearlessly for the right thing by arguing with your parents that girls in the house should also be served the food at same time as boys. We didn’t have exactly such arguments but I always use to support equal rights for workers( like driver, kaamwaali etc) at our place. There were huge fights and everyone used to call me arrogant. I remember my parents used to say that one day in life I will be alone and no one will come to help me as they considered that anyone going against parents is always cursed for happiness in life. I still used to stand by people who were just our workers as I felt they were human beings and some part of me said it’s ok if I get cursed but this person should not cry in night thinking that no one supported him/her while they were right. Years went by and now I look into my life and I feel some of my fathers curse came true but maybe that worker who was being humiliated had a hope that if they are right they will be supported and not loose hope in life just because they were not of same standard as us. There were many things like that in that interview which touched me so deeply that I had a flashback of my childhood and when I was done reading the interview I never realized when I was in tears. I was thinking of writing to you all this time but I was not sure if like mails from weird people like me. Eventually I thought it’s ok at the max she will delete the mail as I am not a fan of her but rather appreciate her as a person nd honest.
Ending this message on a light note. I think you use too many ‘and’s’ while writing :). A small request, firstly I am not sure if this message gets posted on your comments right away. If it does than I will delete the comment myself as I am not sure I would like everyone to know such things about my life. I just wrote to you as I was sure that I would not feel good if I dont express myself freely. Also if you would like to respond I would appreciate if you can consider responding to my e-mail id rather than here on the wall. If you feel that may not be a good idea since you hardly know me I can understand but if you visit my website there is a contact form just like this website and you can fill that without giving your id or feed any wrong id if it doesn’t accepts( but I m sure it will without feeding a e-mail id). If you don’t feel like responding I would understand as this may not be a usual mail from a fan. Take care.
