Hello!
Thank you for your sweet mail. I love reading your comments. It means so much to me to hear from you.
I’ve spent the last few weeks in beautiful Durban in South Africa. I’ve done many shoots in South Africa now, and it’s always a pleasure to be in that country. I love the weather, the beaches and the scenic beauty of the place. I must say though, that the busy schedule of shoots and other engagements this year has kept me away from Mumbai for long stretches and I do miss home a lot as well -specially, food and cooking. I love cooking my own meals. It’s such a relaxing thing to do after a long day, and I love to cook for family and friends as well.
I’ve been shooting for Anees Bazmi’s No Problem, and had a great time on the sets with Sushmita, Akshaye and Sanjay. I enjoyed spending girl-time with Sushmita, who nicknamed me ‘Minnie Mouse’ because of my hairdo for the role I play, which has bangs and two pony tails…and probably because I wore a lot of pink…and she thought it looked so cute. It was fun to hang out with someone so chilled out.
I also recently shot for the covers of Femina and Grazia. Do check out the issues…I’d love to know what you thought.

I guess, this is the first time I am writing to any celebrity in the Bollywood. I do not know if I have started regarding you as an icon for the young generation, but the fact remains that I could not stop myself from writing to you.
Incidently, while browsing through the maze of TV channels, I stopped surfing for a while when my attention drew me over the episode (Sony TV) with you as the celebrity participant for the gameshow `Dus ka Dum’. This was the first instance when I got to know a little about you and also got a glimpse of your world and yourself as a person.
Though, I could recall only a couple of clips in movies or promotions that grabbed me with the irresistible way you present yourself, I was glued to this episode and was fancied by your eloquent presence on the dias. This was despite the fact that I normally find difficulty to connect with the glam and pomp that can be felt while viewing programs of this nature.
Well. A bit about myself so that you can have a track of the case studies of your new fans. I am entreprenuer, aged 36, and would seldom get to watch any TV program scheduled in the evening since I return late from my office. I would normally try to browse quickly through some selected channels for news or other informative programs before going to bed. I come from a little orthodox family background though I do not necessarily subscribe my views to align with the ones around.
Now, with this background and also the very little time of revelation of your personality, I have to agree that I have started to adore you in more than one ways. I do not recall being influenced by any Bollywood female actress who is so overbearing, indomitable, sensible and at the same time so lovable. By the way, I have liking and respect for Cathy (Zeta Jones), Drew Barrymore and Julia Roberts besides others.
You have to trust me that I have not seen a single movie of yours, yet. Except for this one-time TV program and probably your life-like posters for movie campaigns. Now, I am sure, it would be hard for me to resist myself being at the theatre while you are on the show.
Anyways. This mail was just to cheer you up (after your reported split) and express my appreciation for your spirit and your personality. I pray you would do wonders in your career with the Bollywood and the Hollywood (too). And still maintain the innocence that never ceases to flow through any guise that you may put up while portraying your role and your character in the movies and your real life.

Dear Kangna,
I have been following your career very closely, and think you have done a tremendous job in almost every film (well apart from Shakalaka Boom Boom - which was a disaster to be honest). I really feel you are one the best actresses’ in Indian Cinema, as you are an actress in the true sense, full of quality and substance and when watching you on-screen i completely get drawn into the character you are playing.
‘Gangster’ was probably the best debut performance by an actress i have seen, it was just a perefect role that you did complete justice to.
